When it comes to drinking wine there’s no real set rule to follow. Wine can be subjective and at the same time objective. If it tastes right to you and you enjoy what you are drinking then it should be good. It may also have nothing to do whether the wine is good or not but that you actually like that wine. Getting to a point where you can acquire enough knowledge over time where you have both a subjective and objective opinion of a wine can be very rewarding. It does allow you to separate your liking of something from its quality. The way to achieve this is by start experiencing wines outside your liking preferences. This doesn’t mean you need to stop drinking the wines you enjoy but don’t get bogged down with the same wine or variety time and time again. If you ever going to be able to compare and fairly assess wines you need to drink as many different varieties and styles as possible both from new world and old world countries with a focused and open mind. Look out for some of our up-coming wine reviews for your tasting pleasure. CHEERS!!!!
